Head of HSEQ Rail Specialist

About the Role:

Pinnacle Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Head of HSEQ Rail Specialist to join our client, a main contractor, in a challenging environment. The successful candidate will lead the HSSEQ team and be responsible for ensuring compliance with Rail HS&E requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the HSSEQ team in a challenging environment
  • Ensure compliance with Rail HS&E requirements
  • Develop and implement effective HSSEQ strategies
  • Collaborate with teams, clients, stakeholders, and supply chain
  • Deliver HSSEQ training to employees and subcontractors

Requirements:

  • Chartered H&S professional (CMIOSH)
  • In-depth knowledge of Rail HS&E requirements
  • Experience leading HSSEQ in Rail construction environment
  • Experience leading HSSEQ in major multi-discipline construction projects
  • Experience in accident/incident investigation and determining root causes
  • Thorough knowledge of H&S and Environmental statutory legislation
  • IIRCA certified internal auditor (HS&E)
  • Thorough knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001

Desirable:

  • NEBOSH Certificate in Environmental Management
  • IRCA certified lead auditor (HS&E)
  • Computer literate
  • Knowledge of the TfL QUENSH condition/requirements
  • Experience in high-risk construction environments
  • National certificate or equivalent in Fire Safety and Risk assessment
  • Experience in RISQS auditing/management
