The successful candidate will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices, and supporting the wider finance team with essential tasks.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices, proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications, and possessing excellent organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices, payments, and expenses, ensuring accurate coding and posting in the COINS system, and reconciling supplier statements to resolve discrepancies.
  • Perform Regular Bank and Ledger Reconciliations: Assist in preparing financial reports and support the monthly and year-end close processes.
  • Maintain and Update Financial Records: Ensure data integrity and compliance, and produce ad hoc financial reports when required.
  • Respond to Queries: Liaise with suppliers to address payment issues and collaborate with project teams on financial matters.
Requirements:
  • A proven experience in an accounting support role, ideally within the construction, utilities, or civil engineering sectors.
  • A solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.
