About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Scheme Manager to join our team at A2Dominion Housing Group Ltd. As a Scheme Manager, you will be responsible for providing a people-centred service to our retired residents and managing the building and estate to ensure the highest standards of health and safety, security, and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Health and Safety Management: You will be accountable for conducting regular health and safety checks, maintaining comprehensive and auditable records, and liaising with internal departments as necessary.
  2. Building and Estate Management: You will be responsible for managing the building and estate, including reporting repairs, undertaking fire alarms, conducting pull cord checks, and recording checks and raised issues.
  3. Customer Service: You will assist the Housing and Lettings Team by completing viewings, assessments, tenancy sign-ups, and induction meetings to ensure customers understand their tenancy agreement, rights, and obligations.
  4. Tenancy Management: You will manage the termination of tenancies and liaise with the voids, lettings team, and contractors.
  5. Person-Centred Service: You will provide a person-centred service to our customers, utilising the provided tools and guides available, and encapsulating our 'Retirement Living' ethos.
  6. Facilities Management: You will manage facilities, including guest rooms and communal room bookings.
  7. Anti-Social Behaviour Management: You will manage low-level Anti-Social Behaviour cases in accordance with policies and procedures, working with the Housing team, and providing clear guidance to customers.
  8. Welfare Benefits: You will assist customers to claim Housing Benefit and other welfare benefits, ensuring rent arrears are reduced and rent is paid regularly and on time.
  9. Customer Wellbeing: You will regularly monitor and report on the general safety and wellbeing of customers, signposting, and referring customers to support services where appropriate.
  10. Complaints Management: You will manage low-level complaints or dissatisfaction on site in accordance with company policies and procedures.
About You
  • You will have experience working with vulnerable people and community groups.
  • You will be experienced in maintaining buildings' health and safety requirements, including regular inspections and monitoring.
  • You will have basic knowledge of welfare benefits and housing benefits.
  • You will be able to commute to the housing scheme in Staines-upon-Thames, TW18 2EY.
