Social Care Lead Opportunity

Sefton Council is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Social Care Lead to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our social care services.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position that requires at least 5 years of post-qualification experience in a statutory child care setting. You must hold a professional recognized social work qualification and have excellent communication skills. Previous management or supervisory experience is not essential but may be beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of social workers and provide expert guidance on Child Protection and Children In Care.
  • Develop and implement effective plans for children, working closely with social workers and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to quality assurance responsibilities and provide training and developmental initiatives.

Salary and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary of £43,000 - £48,000 per annum, depending on experience. Other benefits include 28 days annual leave rising to 33 days with 5 years of continual service, enhanced sick pay scheme, maternity/adoption leave pay, and opportunities for agile/flexible working.
