Job Title: Children's Care Manager

Location: Formby

Salary: £52,099 per annum

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Care Manager to lead our children's residential care home in Formby. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment where children and young people can thrive.

  • Leadership and Management
    • Lead and manage the home, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and legislation.
    • Develop staff skills and manage all people-related matters.
  • Care Delivery
    • Provide high-quality, therapeutic care and advocacy for children and young people.
    • Ensure the staff team is equipped to deliver the highest standards of care.
  • Governance and Compliance
    • Oversee regulatory inspections, ensuring standards align with Ofsted requirements.
    • Implement robust care and medication practices, safeguarding procedures, and comprehensive record-keeping.
  • Partnerships and Collaboration
    • Work closely with local authorities, parents, and other stakeholders.
  • Safeguarding and Health & Safety
    • Act as the designated safeguarding lead, responding to concerns immediately.
    What We're Looking For

We require:

  • A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (essential).
  • Significant experience working with young people in residential care (essential).
  • Proven supervisory and management experience within children's residential care (essential).
Skills and Knowledge

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Strong knowledge of child development, Children's Homes Regulations (2015), and therapeutic interventions.
  • Ability to lead a team, manage challenging behaviour positively, and provide high-quality care and advocacy.
