About the Role


We are seeking an experienced SEND Support Worker to join our team at Empowering Learning. As a Specialist Support Worker for Children with Needs, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young people.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Supporting the class teacher and other teaching assistants in the day-to-day running of the class
  • Supporting children during lessons and school activities
  • Managing pupils' personalised learning based on their individual needs
  • Delivering 1:1 or small group activities
  • Collecting evidence of children's work to support their assessment
  • Providing physical management and care of pupils


Requirements:



  • Experience working in a school setting and experience with SEND pupils is favourable
  • Experience working with young people, being highly organised and having excellent communication skills
  • A desire to work with, inspire and support children
  • An interest in supporting young people with a variety of SEND
  • A high level of resilience and the ability to form and build excellent relationships
  • Experience supporting children with additional needs is desirable
