Location: Derby

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Education Support Assistant to join our team at Connex Education. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting students and teachers in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide classroom support to teachers, including supervising students, maintaining order, and ensuring a positive learning environment.
  • Assist with instructional tasks, such as reinforcing lessons, providing additional explanations, and offering extra practice on assignments.
  • Prepare teaching materials, such as visual aids, worksheets, and other resources needed for lessons.
  • Support students with special educational needs or disabilities, providing personalized assistance and accommodations to help them succeed academically and socially.
  • Communicate with parents or caregivers to provide updates on student progress, behavior, and any concerns.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a school or with young people.
  • A Level 2 in Teaching and Learning or working towards this qualification.
  • A current enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to provide a new one.
  • References for all work in the last 2 years.
