We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to provide tailored support to students in our dynamic and inclusive secondary school.

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other support staff to help students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their academic goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students to help them develop effective learning strategies and study skills.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to ensure students receive the support they need.
  • Collaborate with teachers to adapt classroom materials and activities to meet the needs of all students.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes respect, resilience, and excellence.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
  • A patient, empathetic, and supportive approach to working with students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with teachers and other support staff.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team to achieve common goals.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Relevant qualifications in education or special educational needs.
  • Experience working with secondary school students.
