Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Learning Support Specialist to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a Special Educational Needs Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with a range of needs, including PMLD, complex medical conditions, and autism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to pupils in various learning contexts, including the classroom, local environment, and community, to aid their learning, development, and progress across the curriculum.
  • Empower and support pupils with diverse needs to achieve their educational and personal goals.
  • Promote equality, diversity, and the rights of our pupils to be treated with respect and seen as learners.
  • Develop and implement strategies to support pupils with complex needs, including physical intervention and personal care routines.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure a comprehensive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs.
Requirements
  • Relevant professional or personal experience in Special Educational Needs.
