We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Drama Teacher to join our team at Wayman Learning Trust. The successful candidate will be passionate about education and have a proven track record of delivering excellent teaching across KS4 and KS5.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our school team to ensure all students receive a positive and engaging learning experience.

  1. Plan and deliver exciting and engaging lessons that challenge and inspire secondary students to reach their full potential.
  2. Monitor and assess students' progress and keep regular records of students' academic performance.
  3. Create a positive learning environment that is both safe and conducive for learning.
  4. Collaborate with school management, teaching staff, and parents to provide quality academic support for students.
  5. Prepare and participate in school-related activities such as performances, events, and parent/teacher meetings.
  6. Adhere to safeguarding policies and promote the welfare of all children.
  7. Use a variety of effective classroom management strategies to ensure an orderly and safe learning environment.

The successful candidate will have:

  1. QTS or equivalent.
  2. A degree in a relative field or a subject of specialism.
  3. A recognized qualification in teaching, preferably a Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant field.
  4. Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to engage and motivate learners.
  5. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with parents, staff, and students.
  6. Sound knowledge of the national curriculum and its application in class.
  7. Ability to adapt teaching styles to facilitate different learning styles.
  8. A passion for teaching and making a difference in students' lives.
