Job Summary

The Heights School, Burnley is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant - Behaviour & Pastoral to join their team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will work 37 hours per week during term time only (39 weeks per year).

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Heights Plus provision within the school, including setting targets, reviewing pupil progress, and ensuring interventions are implemented.
  • Develop and implement bespoke interventions to support pupils with behaviour and attendance issues.
  • Work closely with the Assistant Head Teacher to plan and deliver targeted support to pupils in need.
  • Provide mentoring and coaching to pupils to overcome barriers to learning.

Requirements
  • Experience working with children in an educational setting.
  • Ability to deal with challenging behaviour and safeguarding issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff.
