Position Overview

This role is primarily centered on the Life Sciences and Biotechnology sectors. As a Strategic Account Executive, you will be an essential part of Agilent's innovative sales team. In this pivotal position, you will leverage your expertise and technical acumen to enhance the life sciences, academic, and biopharma sectors. Your territory will encompass a broad area, and you will be responsible for promoting chromatography and mass spectrometry solutions while proactively developing and executing a successful sales strategy to surpass targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet and exceed all sales objectives and forecasts.
  • Engage with universities and research institutions at various levels, fostering connections within the academic community.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
  • Actively seek new clients and opportunities by cultivating business within startups and university spin-offs.
  • Assess customer requirements and identify tailored solutions to address unique challenges.
  • Collaborate effectively across all Agilent divisions: CSD (Consumables), CSO (Service Delivery), SSD (Service Sales), and COPC (Customer Operations Center).
  • Partner with the Field Sales Channel to design and implement key marketing initiatives.
  • Proactively manage the sales cycle and provide accurate sales forecasts.
  • Maintain thorough updates in CRM systems, expense reports, and other essential business processes.
  • Exemplify Agilent's Core Values: Innovation and Contribution, Trust, Respect, Teamwork, Uncompromising Integrity, Focus, and Accountability.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in selling instruments or solutions within Agilent's markets.
  • Solid understanding of Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry as they relate to analytical laboratories.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Life Sciences and Biotechnology sectors.
  • Exceptional networking skills to align customer priorities and influence key decision-makers.
  • Fluency in English is required.

  • In-depth knowledge of LCMS.
  • Strong negotiation skills to address critical customer issues.
  • Ability to engage with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
