About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Export Operations Specialist to join our team at DB Schenker. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and proactive management of export operations, delivering exceptional customer service and driving success in international trade.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and action generic email boxes and respond in a timely manner.
- Utilize our logistics software to produce shipping documentation and prepare export entries in accordance with UK HMRC regulations.
- Manage cost control and action pending tray daily.
- Investigate and respond to customer queries and complaints promptly.
- Support sales and customer service teams with customer visits and ensure accurate and timely invoicing.
- Pass rates received to the Team Leader for loading into our logistics software.
- Support the Team Leader with staff management and development, and arrange workloads as needed.
Requirements
- Strong background in airfreight logistics.
- Expertise in planning, organizing, and executing export operations.
- Customer-focused with a commitment to satisfaction.
- Skilled in teamwork and team building.
- Flexible and effective communicator.
- Proficient in Word and Excel.
