Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Security Officer to join our team at Medway NHS Foundation Trust. As a Security Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our patients, staff, and visitors.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide a high-profile, visible uniformed presence to the general public and hospital staff.
  • Enforce all policies and procedures of the Medway Maritime Hospital.
  • Carry out patrols and provide escorts as requested.
  • Respond to security incidents within an agreed time frame, using reasonable force if necessary.
  • Work as part of the Fire Response & Major Incident teams, liaising with other departments and the Fire Brigade as appropriate.
Person Specification
  • High standard of education.
  • Hold a current licence level 2.
  • Full clean UK/EU driving licence with D1/D1E entitlement.
  • Mental capacity and deprivation of liberty (DOLs) knowledge.
  • Security systems CCTV, Alarms, access control knowledge.
  • General Law knowledge, including criminal and common legislation and acts.
  • Demonstrable experience working within the Security industry or associated organisations.
  • Working with the general public.
  • Customer Care.
