About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Security Officer to join our team at Medway NHS Foundation Trust. As a Security Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our patients, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a high-profile, visible presence to the general public and hospital staff, promoting a safe environment and reducing the fear of crime.
- Enforce all policies and procedures of the Medway Maritime Hospital, including responding to security incidents and providing escorts as requested.
- Undertake cash lifts, following departmental procedures and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary.
- Work collaboratively with other departments and the Fire Brigade as part of the Fire Response & Major Incident teams.
Person Specification
- High standard of education
- Current licence level 2
- Full clean UK/EU driving licence with D1/D1E entitlement
- Mental capacity and deprivation of liberty (DOLs) knowledge
- Security systems CCTV, Alarms, access control knowledge
- General Law knowledge, including criminal and common legislation and acts
- Demonstrable experience working within the Security industry or associated organisations
- Working with the general public and customer care skills
