About the Role

As a Social Care Specialist, you will play a critical role in shaping the safety and welfare of young lives every day. You will provide essential support to vulnerable children and families, assessing contacts from various sources, prioritizing urgent cases, and ensuring timely, high-quality action is taken by signposting to the appropriate teams and services.

Your Responsibilities
  • Key Contact Point: Manage all incoming social care queries via phone and written communication.
  • Critical Assessments: Swiftly assess and prioritize cases, identifying those in urgent need and making appropriate recommendations.
  • Mentorship and Coaching: Mentor, coach, and guide team members, sharing best practices to continually raise professional standards across the MASH.
  • Partnership Development: Develop and maintain strong partnerships within the MASH and externally to ensure cohesive and effective interventions.
About You

We are looking for an experienced professional with substantial post-qualifying experience in children's social care, deep knowledge in safeguarding and risk management. You will have demonstrable experience in coaching, mentoring, and practice teaching, sharing your expertise to uplift team standards.

  • Salary: £41,511 - £44,711 per annum, plus £5,500 market supplement and £963 essential car user allowance (subject to criteria).
