About the Role:

- We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teacher to join our team at Options Autism School, a pioneering institution providing education for neurodivergent young people and young adults.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate SEN Teacher who can develop engaging and inclusive learning experiences for pupils with complex educational needs. Your role will be demanding yet fulfilling, as you work in a school where safeguarding is paramount, and pupils are valued, respected, and empowered to contribute to decision-making processes.
We require an experienced SEN Teacher who is knowledgeable about therapeutic approaches and has a track record of teaching pupils with SEMH and Autistic Spectrum Disorders. You will possess a calm and engaging approach, being adaptable and flexible in your teaching style. Prior experience in planning and delivering lessons using a range of strategies to cater for different learning styles would be advantageous.
A commitment to collaborating with colleagues, parents, and carers to achieve positive outcomes for our pupils is vital. This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check and references.
About Us:
Our new Options Autism School will cater for pupils aged 5 to 11 with complex educational needs, communication difficulties, and challenging behavior primarily with a diagnosis of ASD. The school will have capacity for 72 pupils and is due to open Easter 2025.
