About the Role:

  • As a key member of the TimePlan Education team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of safeguarding and child protection in our Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Southwark.
  • You will act as the main point of contact for safeguarding concerns, implementing policies and procedures to ensure the well-being of all pupils.
  • Your expertise will be invaluable in supporting staff in identifying and managing child protection issues, providing expert advice and training.
  • You will work collaboratively with external agencies, including social care, health, and the police, to achieve the best outcomes for our pupils.
  • Maintaining meticulous records and ensuring compliance with statutory safeguarding requirements is also a critical aspect of this role.

About You:

  • We are seeking an experienced professional with a proven track record in safeguarding and child protection, ideally within an educational or alternative provision setting.
  • You will possess excellent communication skills, empathy, and resilience, with a genuine commitment to supporting vulnerable young people.
  • Skilled in building relationships and confident working with multi-agency teams, you will thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with statutory safeguarding frameworks and best practices is essential.
