Job Summary

We're seeking a skilled Functional Skills Trainer to join our team. As a Functional Skills Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering Maths and English Functional Skills training to a caseload of apprentices with additional learning needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver one-to-one and group training sessions to apprentices, using a range of teaching methods to engage learners and promote learning.
  • Manage a caseload of learners, providing support and guidance to ensure they achieve their Functional Skills qualifications on time.
  • Use e-learning platforms to deliver training modules and track learner progress.
  • Record learner support evidence and maintain accurate records of learner progress.
  • Communicate with Regional Trainers and Training Managers to ensure progress is communicated and opportunities to contextualize the learning are explored.

Person Specification

  • Minimum of two years' delivery experience, preferably in a similar role.
  • Minimum of two years' experience delivering numeracy and literacy qualifications.
  • Recognized teaching/training qualification at Level 3.
  • Qualified to Level 3 Certificate in Adult Literacy and/or Numeracy or Functional Skills at Level 2.
