In this role, you will be responsible for delivering a school counselling service at St. Margaret's CE Primary School in East Sussex.

About the Role

  • You will run a suitable appointment system, managing the tight time boundaries of the role and liaising with school staff as needed
  • As a skilled counsellor, you will carry out initial clinical and risk assessments, establishing appropriate referral pathways with other services when necessary
  • Your expertise will be invaluable in supporting children who require individualised help and guidance

About You

  • A relevant Counselling or Psychotherapy qualification, minimum Level four and ideally Level six, is essential
  • Two years' post-qualifying experience in individual counselling or therapy with young people, preferably within an educational setting, is highly desirable
  • A sound understanding of child protection and vulnerable adult safeguarding issues, policies, and procedures is also required
