Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Michelle Denny Recruitment. As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maximising the potential of our client's successful products and services, expanding and nurturing their extensive client base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate clearly and support existing business contracts, ensuring each client is satisfied with our products and services.
- Research and identify new business opportunities, including new markets, growth areas, customers, products, and services, with new ways of reaching existing markets.
- Generate leads and cold call prospective customers, both face-to-face and over the phone.
- Foster and develop strong relationships with customers, clients, and partners to enable repeat business and find new opportunities.
- Be hands-on when required and have the ability to work collaboratively within all areas of the business, including the customer service team who will support in account management.
Requirements:
- Experience and proficiency within a business development/account manager role, ideally with a production/manufacturing background.
- A strategic approach to promote business development, with a professional and personable nature to maintain and expand the existing client base.
- Resourceful in nature with the ability to research the market to identify credible leads, and the capability to gain knowledge and insight into existing clients to generate repeat business.
- The ability to work collaboratively with marketing and other areas of the business to deliver company objectives.
- Good IT skills, including knowledge of Sage 200 and the Microsoft Suite.
- A valid UK driving license with no more than 3 penalty points, as some travel would be required.
