Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Systems Administrator to join our team at Actica Consulting Limited. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for maintaining and upgrading our company's information systems, ensuring seamless operations and high security standards.

The ideal candidate will have experience in system administration within a Microsoft environment, with expertise in Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, Microsoft Exchange 2019, and Linux management (Ubuntu). They will also possess strong scripting skills using Windows PowerShell and excellent knowledge of VPN configuration and management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance of company information systems;
  • Acting as 1st and 2nd Line Support and escalating support requests as required;
  • Liaising with IT suppliers;
  • Attending relevant IT meetings and providing updates;
  • Carrying out monitoring of systems to ensure system health and security;
  • Maintenance of Firewall and gateway security policies;
  • Responding to security alerts and liaising with System Security Officer on any incidents;
  • Carrying out development work of new Information Services: build, test and roll-out to live.

The estimated salary for this role is £40,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including a discretionary bonus, private health care, and investment in training relevant to the individual's development and Actica's business needs.
