The Role:

This role will support robust governance, risk, and process for Procurement across Lloyd's. You will be responsible for evolving best practices, delivering projects, supporting risk management within procurement, and coordinating activities related to supplier onboarding, audits, compliance, and meeting regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Continuously develop a best-in-class procurement function with a long-term vision to deliver a sustainable approach to all third-party sourcing and supplier management, minimizing risk and driving efficiencies.
  2. Support the delivery of procurement governance and process projects on time and in-full, identifying areas for process improvement.
  3. Facilitate procurement risk management activities, including bi-annual review of the department's risk register, facilitating the risk control self-attestation (RCSA) process, and coordinating quarterly supplier risk groups with relevant subject matter experts.
  4. Coordinated onboarding activities for material/critical third parties, including due diligence to meet internal and external requirements.
  5. Provide expert, authoritative advice to key stakeholders on all aspects of procurement governance, policy, and process.
  6. Support the delivery of procurement training to the business and internal procurement team.
  7. Produce ad-hoc management information for the procurement team and other key stakeholders for appropriate committees and forums.
  8. Support all compliance and internal audit exercises on behalf of Procurement to ensure actions are completed within timelines along with relevant sign-off and attestations.
  9. Collaborate with Risk Management, Regulatory Engagement, Compliance, Internal Audit, Legal, Financial Crime, and Operations to implement procurement initiatives and ensure the governance framework is fit for purpose.
  10. Keep procurement materials up to date and correct, including MyLloyd's pages, Lloyds.com, Playbook, and supporting the annual policy review.

Skills and Experience:

  1. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  2. Analytical skills and attention to detail.
  3. Ability to drive continuous improvement and identify opportunities for improvement.
  4. Understanding of risks and issues that impact the procurement process.
  5. Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel, Word, and SharePoint.
  6. Strong interpersonal skills.
  7. Good organizational skills and ability to multitask.
  8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
