Main Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage all aspects of patient scheduling processes.
- Answer phone calls, addressing enquiries/directing calls to appropriate team members.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in compliance with data protection regulations.
- Process patient forms, insurance information, and payments as required.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, with experience of using EMIS and Docman.
- Collaborate with clinicians to ensure efficient patient flow and communication within the team.
- Handle any issues/concerns raised by patients with professionalism, empathy, and sensitivity.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in an administrative role is preferred, ideally within a healthcare setting.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients and colleagues professionally.
- Proficient user of IT systems including medical software systems, such as EMIS and Docman.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a calm demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
- A compassionate attitude towards patients and a commitment to providing high-quality service.
The salary for this position is £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work for flu clinics etc.

Highparks Medical Practice works across four sites, each within a less than 5-minute drive from each other. It is essential that you drive as you will work across these locations.
