Payroll Administration Specialist

p I am delighted to be supporting Page Personnel in their search for a fixed term Payroll Officer for initially a four month contract with the potential to be extended past this.
Description- Reviewing employee records to determine payroll costs, including taxes, deductions, and benefits is an essential task for this role.
- Processing Payroll accurately and efficiently is critical to the success of the team.
- Calculating employees hours worked, payroll deductions and processing requests for pay increases or decreases requires strong analytical skills.
- Support the Payroll Manager with reports on payroll trends to make decisions about staffing levels, pay rates and benefits package by providing data-driven insights.
- Review payroll records for accuracy and correcting errors ensures the integrity of the payroll process.
- Reconciling payroll records with accounting records verifies the accuracy of financial data.
- Intermediate Excel experience is required for this role.
- Experience working in a Payroll related role is essential.
- Being process driven ensures that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Analytical mind is necessary for calculating payroll costs and reconciling records.
- Experience working in a fast paced environment develops strong time management skills.
The successful candidate can expect a starting salary of £35,000 + 3 days home working + a flexible contract ending March 2025 with the potential to be extended or made permanent. The salary is competitive and reflects the importance of this role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing.
