Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team based in Nottingham. As a key member of the payroll team, you will be responsible for managing employee records, processing payroll, and providing reports to the Payroll Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Review employee records for payroll costs, including taxes, deductions, and benefits.
  • Process payroll, ensuring all necessary deductions are made.
  • Calculate employees' hours worked, payroll deductions, and process requests for pay increases or decreases.
  • Support the Payroll Manager with reports on payroll trends to inform decisions about staffing levels, pay rates, and benefits package.
  • Reconcile payroll records with accounting records.

Requirements

  • Must have intermediate Excel experience and experience working in a payroll-related role.
  • Should be highly organized and able to meet deadlines.
  • Be process-driven and analytically minded with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Have experience working in a fast-paced environment.

What We Offer

A competitive starting salary of c£35-36,000 + 3 days home working + a flexible contract with potential for extension or permanence.
