About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our multi-disciplinary team at Brainkind Neurological Centre York, providing occupational therapy input within our neurobehavioural model to individuals with acquired brain injury.

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a specialist clinical area using skills and knowledge in neurological rehabilitation with support from a senior OT.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities
  • To work autonomously managing a caseload of individuals with complex mental/physical health needs and/or challenging behaviour.
  • To assess, formulate treatment plans, implement, and evaluate interventions using evidence-based and user-centred principles.
  • To address occupational performance and skill deficits enabling individuals in areas of self-maintenance, productivity, education, and leisure.
  • To develop programmes of care and ensure adequate handover to colleagues.
  • To use interpersonal skills and empathy to engage resistant or distressed individuals and families.
