Clinical Electrophysiology Specialist

We are seeking a talented graduate from within a relevant scientific discipline to join our Electrophysiology team as a Trainee Clinical Specialist / Associate Field Technical Engineer EP. Based in the South West, this role offers extensive training and the opportunity to provide expert support and guidance on the use of Abbott's Electrophysiology portfolio within the clinical setting.
The UK Electrophysiology team has a strong track record for nurturing graduates into clinically-focused Field Technical Engineers who provide exceptional in-procedure support to customers within assigned territories. As a Trainee Clinical Specialist / Associate Field Technical Engineer EP, you will be responsible for:
- Providing expert clinical consultation, teaching, and support on the use of all Electrophysiology products and their appropriate application in the clinical setting.
- Maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge of current and new therapies and technologies within the therapy area, including competitor devices, as well as a general understanding of the country healthcare market.
- Providing technical support to the Electrophysiology salesforce.
- Conducting product presentations, responding to technical questions, supporting at external events, etc., as required.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A BSc in a science-related degree (e.g., Biomedical Sciences).
- Strong cardiac anatomy and physiology knowledge.
- A willingness to travel 75% of the time and ability to work autonomously.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A full valid UK driving license.
- Any prior work experience with medical devices of a similar nature to Electrophysiology products would be beneficial but is not required – full training will be given.
