About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Director to join our team at ESS, part of Compass Group UK&I. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the culinary operations across various military establishments, government sites, and energy facilities.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in delivering exceptional food quality, leading high-performing teams, and maintaining high standards of customer service. With a strong focus on innovation and continuous improvement, you will be responsible for driving business growth through menu development, cost control, and staff training.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement culinary strategies to drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction
  • Lead and motivate a team of chefs and kitchen staff to achieve exceptional results
  • Monitor and control food costs, inventory levels, and waste management
  • Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and quality assurance

Requirements:
  • City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
