About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Sarum Community Mental Health Team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing expert psychiatric care and support to patients in the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and treat patients with complex mental health needs in a community setting.
  • Collaborate with GPs, other healthcare professionals, and community organizations to provide comprehensive care.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans, taking into account individual patient needs and circumstances.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to junior staff members, promoting a culture of excellence and best practice.
  • Contribute to the development of mental health services and policies, ensuring they are evidence-based and patient-centered.
Requirements
  • MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
  • Full registration with the GMC and a license to practice.
  • Approved clinician status and S12 approval.
  • Experience of working in a community mental health setting, with a strong understanding of community-based care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, carers, and colleagues.
