Job Summary:

The Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Sarum Community Mental Health Team (CMHT). Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide treatment to service users in the community.
  • Undertake urgent and routine psychiatric evaluations as needed, ensuring timely and effective decision-making.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with General Practitioners (GPs) to facilitate seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Collaborate with other service teams and stakeholders to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for service users.
  • Provide expert advice and consultation to multidisciplinary team members, actively participating in regular team meetings.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of clinical decisions and management plans, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
