Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Wabtec Corporation. As a key member of our manufacturing department, you will be responsible for leading and managing projects, creating and maintaining supporting documentation, and defining and implementing investigations into non-conformance.

The successful candidate will have experience in modern machining and manufacturing processes, NC programming, and ideally from a low-volume, high accuracy manufacturing environment such as Aerospace or Power Generation.

A salary of £Competitive is offered, making this an attractive opportunity for those looking to advance their careers in manufacturing engineering. Located in Lincoln, LN5 7FD, this role offers a competitive package that includes a permanent, full-time contract with a day shift pattern before moving onto the above shift pattern.

In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits including knowledge of modern machining and manufacturing processes, NC programming, and the opportunity to work cross functionally with different departments such as Design, Quality, Procurement and external suppliers.

This role requires a HNC level or above in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with having undergone relevant training as Manufacturing Technician/Engineer. Experience in a modern manufacturing facility with a good understanding of modern machining techniques, plus problem solving techniques is essential. Legal authorization to work in the UK is required, and unfortunately, we will not sponsor individuals for employment visas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage projects within Manufacturing taking responsibility for delivery, project planning, execution and cost.
  • Creation and maintenance of supporting documentation to include Manufacturing Routings, Layouts and instructions.
  • Define, perform and implement investigations into non-conformance through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Inspection activities including the creation of non-conformance reports, in process and final inspection protocols.
