About the Role
The successful Bus Mechanic will be responsible for:
- Diagnosing and carrying out vehicle repairs, servicing, and parts replacement.
- Diagnosing vehicle faults and specifying the correct method of repair and parts to be used.
- Carrying out vehicle servicing and routine vehicle examinations using handheld data capture devices.
- Attending on-road vehicle breakdowns and recoveries.
- Carrying out vehicle road testing to identify specific vehicle defects or following remedial repair.
Working Pattern and Pay
40 hours working week, 4 over 7. Hourly pay rate: £20.49.
About You
- A minimum Level 3 NVQ standard or equivalent, and working experience on PSV, HGV, van, bus, coach, or car mechanics is advantageous.
- Ability to multi-skill within an engineering environment.
- A flexible approach to working hours.
- A PCV licence is desirable, ability to obtain PCV licence is essential.
- A basic vehicle electrical understanding is essential.
