Diverse Active Living is an adult day service for individuals from 18 years with complex mental health and physical disabilities. We support individuals to socialise with others and engageing in mindful activities.

We are a day service that go above and beyond our duties to ensure the safety of everyone that attends is paramount.

Our work environment includes:

- On site parking
- Weekends off
- Working back to back shifts to suit one another

Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Bus Driver to join our transportation team. As a Bus Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting passengers to the day centre while providing exceptional customer service. This is a part-time position working with another driver and a personal assistant.

**Duties**:

- Drive assigned bus routes, following designated schedules and routes
- Ensure the safety of passengers by adhering to traffic laws and company policies
- Maintain a clean and well-functioning bus, conducting regular inspections and reporting any issues
- Communicate effectively with passengers, providing information about routes, schedules, and fares
- Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the bus, ensuring their comfort and safety
- Handle fare collection and maintain accurate records of passenger counts
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper use of seat belts and securing mobility devices
- Respond to passenger inquiries, concerns, or complaints in a professional manner

**Skills**:

- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger endorsement
- Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance checks on the bus
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Strong customer service skills to interact with passengers in a friendly and professional manner
- Experience as a delivery driver or similar role is a plus
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £11.85 per hour

Expected hours: 5 - 15 per week
