Job Title: Salaried GP

Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload and providing a range of health services in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload and provide routine and emergency care to patients
  • Undertake a range of clinical duties, including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, and visiting patients at home
  • Make professional and autonomous decisions in relation to patient care, taking into account individual health needs and preferences
  • Assess and screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness, and develop care plans accordingly
  • Providing counselling and health education to patients, and referring them to other care providers as needed
  • Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes, and collecting data for audit purposes
  • Prescribing medication in accordance with the practice formulary and national guidelines
  • Managing and leading on infection control and health and safety procedures, including promoting and managing personal and others health and safety and infection control
  • Working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals and agencies to meet patient needs
