The National Wealth Fund is seeking an experienced Strategic Banking Specialist to join its Banking and Investments Team. This role will focus on executing complex, bespoke infrastructure transactions providing equity, debt or guarantees. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in infrastructure or other complex financing or investment gained through lending, investment, advisory or asset management roles.
Key Responsibilities
Support Directors in external market engagement with investors, developers, banks and industry players to build the profile of the National Wealth Fund in the market. Assist in the origination, screening and valuation/pricing of potential investments and making recommendations to the investment committee. Work as a proactive member of deal teams in the structuring, negotiation and due diligence process. Support the National Wealth Fund in its policy initiatives by utilizing the full product suite to deliver effective financing solutions that meet the strategic objectives.
Requirements
Demonstratable experience in infrastructure or other complex financing or investment. Financially astute with deep knowledge of market terms, transactions and participants across equity and debt markets. Strong analytical, presentation and numeracy skills including advanced financial modelling skills and equity valuation. Commercially astute with evidence of negotiation skills developed from involvement in complex transactions. Skilled in understanding and digesting complex information and data as part of a due diligence process. Skilled communicator including strong oral and written/report writing skills.
Salary and Benefits
A competitive salary of £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience, is offered along with benefits such as pension scheme, life assurance and annual leave.
