Sous Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at a traditional seaside hotel in Suffolk. As a key member of the kitchen team, you will assist the Head Chef in running the kitchen, taking charge in their absence, and contributing to the planning and delivery of menus that appeal to our guests.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Head Chef in managing the kitchen, including supervising the work of the kitchen team and ensuring that all food is prepared to a high standard.
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of menus, using quality produce and adhering to health and safety standards.
- Supervise the recruitment, training, and development of kitchen staff, ensuring that they are equipped to deliver excellent service.
- Attend management and training meetings, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
- Carry out all required checks and controls, ensuring that all procedures are recorded and kept up-to-date.
- Participate in stocktaking and ensure that all team members adhere to fire, health, safety, and hygiene standards and procedures.
- A competitive salary of £28,000 to £30,000 per annum, dependent on experience.

We are a small collection of privately owned hotels in Suffolk, committed to providing exceptional service and quality food to our guests. Our restaurant is open to both residents and non-residents, offering a buffet-style breakfast service, and a la carte lunch and dinner options using fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
We cater for a range of guests, from 20-60 covers per day at breakfast, 15 covers per day at lunch, and up to 50 covers per day at dinner. We are looking for a skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team and contribute to our continued success.
