Sous Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at a traditional seaside hotel in Suffolk. As a key member of the kitchen team, you will assist the Head Chef in running the kitchen, taking charge in their absence, and contributing to the planning and delivery of menus that appeal to our guests.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Head Chef in managing the kitchen, including supervising the work of the kitchen team and ensuring that all procedures are recorded and up-to-date.
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of menus that meet the high standards of our hotel and appeal to our guests.
- Supervise the recruitment, training, and development of kitchen team members.
- Attend management and training meetings to stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
- Ensure that all fire, health, safety, and hygiene standards and procedures are adhered to by the kitchen team.
- A competitive salary of £28,000 to £30,000 per annum, dependent on experience.

Our client is a traditional seaside hotel, part of a small collection of privately owned hotels in Suffolk. The hotel's restaurant is open to both residents and non-residents, offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner using fresh ingredients and boasting views of the North Sea and the beach.
The hotel caters for 20-60 covers per day at breakfast time, 15 covers per day at lunch, and up to 50 covers per day at dinner. These numbers may vary at peak times.
