Sous Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at a traditional seaside hotel in Suffolk. As a key member of the kitchen team, you will assist the Head Chef in running the kitchen, taking charge in their absence, and contributing to the planning and delivery of menus that appeal to our guests.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Head Chef in running the kitchen, taking charge in their absence.
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of menus that appeal to our guests.
- Supervise the work produced by the rest of the kitchen team, ensuring that everyone is working to the same consistently high standard.
- Recruit, train, and develop the kitchen team.
- Attend management and training meetings.
- Carry out all required checks and controls, help to ensure that all procedures are recorded and kept up-to-date, and participate in stocktaking.
- Ensure that the kitchen team adheres to all fire, health, safety, and hygiene standards and procedures.
