About the Role

The Pharmaceutical Society NI is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to fill the position of Chief Executive. This is a permanent, full-time role with the possibility of secondments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Pharmaceutical Society (NI) with effective leadership and strategic direction.
  • Accountable for promoting and regulating excellent professional standards throughout the profession.
  • Deliver efficient and effective management of the Society to enhance public confidence in the Pharmaceutical Sector.
  • Support and develop the Pharmacist profession as key professionals within wider healthcare.
Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 3 years of recent experience in senior management within a regulatory environment or membership services organisation.
  • Experience of representing an organisation externally with various stakeholders and influencing at regional and national levels.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to manage financial resources effectively.
  • Successful track-record of delivering business change and improvement to enhance organisational performance.
  • Excellent influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Understanding of regulation and ability to lead within a regulatory operating environment.
Desirable Criteria
  • Understanding of the issues affecting the Pharmaceutical sector in Northern Ireland and awareness of emerging challenges.
  • Postgraduate qualification in management or leadership.
