Electrical Supervisor Role

Bridges Electrical Engineers is seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing a team of Test and Inspection electricians on various projects across the South East region.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical installations, with experience in supervising small teams on simple installations. They will also possess knowledge of health and safety legislation and company procedures, as well as a willingness to learn and undertake occupational training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise electrical installations in accordance with BS7671 and Bridges Health & Safety Rules and Essential Standards
  • Ensure all items are installed to the highest standards, in compliance with the project's quality plan and inspection and test plans
  • Follow and actively promote the STAR dynamic risk assessment and be empowered to stop work should unsafe circumstances arise
  • Coach and mentor Electricians, Electrical Improvers/Mates, and Apprentices
  • Promote and demonstrate Bridges' values when dealing with peers, staff, customers, and clients
  • Promote positive health and wellbeing amongst peers
  • Act in a professional manner and be an ambassador for Bridges, supporting the business goals and maintaining the company's positive reputation
Requirements
  • ECS Gold Card
  • SSSTS or SMSTS
  • Inspection and testing certified
  • Appropriate City & Guilds trade qualification
  • Experience within an industrial environment, ideally within the water/waste water industry
  • Experience supervising a small team on simple installations
  • Knowledge of health & safety legislation and company procedures
  • Willingness to learn and undertake occupational training
  • Full UK driving license
  • Fit to work medical
