Store Operations Manager

The Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Store Operations Manager. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our stores, including the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate records of plant hire and inventory levels
- Coordinate the receipt and storage of new stock, including checking delivery notes and reporting any discrepancies
- Conduct regular inspections of store buildings and external storage compounds to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Maintain a safe and tidy store area, adhering to company health and safety practices
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and transport companies to ensure seamless logistics
- Assist with quarterly and full stock taking activities to ensure accurate inventory levels
- Operate a forklift, once training has been completed
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the gas industry
- A full clean UK driving licence
- A forklift licence is advantageous but not essential
- Meticulous organisational skills, with a focus on attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Comfortable using technology and an appreciation of keeping systems up to date
- A client-focused approach, with a 'get it right first time' attitude
