About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Store Operations Manager. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our stores.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate records of plant hire and inventory levels
- Take delivery of new stock, inspecting all delivery notes and reporting any discrepancies
- Conduct regular inspections of store buildings and external storage compounds to ensure compliance with health and safety standards
- Maintain a safe and tidy store area, adhering to company health and safety policies
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and transport companies to ensure seamless logistics
- Assist with quarterly and full stock taking activities to ensure accurate inventory levels
- Operate a forklift, once trained and certified
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction industry
- Knowledge of gas fittings and industry regulations
- Full clean UK driving license and forklift license (advantageous but not essential)
- Meticulous organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work with technology and maintain accurate records
- Client-focused with a 'get it right first time' attitude
