About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Kedleston Group team and shape our brand new provision in the heart of London.
We are looking for a dynamic and inspirational School Cook to work at Mapesbury school. We are seeking a professional with a passion for quality produce and nutritional development to lead our school kitchen. You will have the opportunity to transform our school lunch provision to provide fresh, tasty, exciting, and nutritious food for our children, staff, and the local community.
You will be responsible for training and upskilling a small team of kitchen staff and developing a food-led curriculum to be delivered to our children. We understand that good food can have a huge impact on a child's development, learning, and their future health – we need you to educate the children so that they learn where their food comes from and how to make healthy choices
You will have a unique opportunity to shape and deliver an entirely new vision for school food at Mapesbury School. The right individual will have an exciting opportunity to allow their creativity to transform the meal delivery and food education at our school.

Mapesbury School, part of Kedleston Group Limited, is an independent specialist day school and children's home in London for children and young people aged between the ages of 7 and 17 who have autism (ASC) and other specific learning difficulties.
We look for people to join our staff team who have the creativity and enthusiasm needed to deliver the best outcomes for the children and young people.
Kedleston Group Limited is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of its children and young people, and we expect all staff to share this commitment. Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You will be expected to engage in annual safeguarding training, be familiar with key policies, and ensure you know the steps to take should you be made aware of a safeguarding or child protection concern. You will remain vigilant and act swiftly if you have concerns about a child and be an appropriate role model for both children and colleagues at all times.
The successful candidate is required to provide references and will be expected to undertake an enhanced DBS check. We will ask you to complete a criminal self-declaration form, and we will conduct online searches for information that is publicly available.
