Practice Medication Administrator

The NHS is seeking a Practice Medication Administrator to join our team at Thursby Surgery. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work with a multi-disciplinary team to promote integrated and seamless pathways of care for patients. As a Practice Medication Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate notes of all consultations and medications are recorded and appropriate data entered on the computer.
You will also assist in the formulation of practice policy and philosophy, cooperate and participate in research projects within the practice, and maintain continued education by attendance of courses and study as deemed useful or necessary.
Responsibilities- Assist with the issue of prescriptions requests via online apps, Email, Patient Repeat slips, and telephone enquiries
- E nsure all Medications requiring monitoring are reviewed and recorded appropriate to the needs of the Practice
- Ensure Dispensary prescriptions are signed on a regular basis and team members are aware of any issues
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A good standard of general education GCSE Mathematics and English (Grade C and above)
- Practical experience of working with others Practical experience of working with the general public or patients in a customer care role
- Experience of work in a healthcare setting
