Commercial Fiction Marketing Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Brand Marketing Officer to join our team at Penguin Books Limited. As a key member of our marketing team, you will be responsible for leading marketing strategy for commercial fiction at Vintage, a leading publisher of fiction books.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute marketing campaigns for commercial lead titles, including brand management for top authors such as Jo Nesbo and Anne Tyler.
- Manage a team of marketing professionals, including a Senior Marketing Executive, and contribute to divisional marketing strategy as part of the marketing senior management team.
- Collaborate with agencies and internal stakeholders to deliver high-profile book marketing campaigns to the highest possible standard.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the commercial fiction market, including trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activity.
- Provide strategic guidance and support to authors, agents, and other stakeholders to ensure successful marketing outcomes.
- Proven track record in delivering high-profile book marketing campaigns to the highest possible standard.
- Experience managing marketing strategy across commercial fiction, with a strong knowledge of crime fiction.
- Experience in creative direction of stand-out pitch documents and presenting marketing vision to prospective authors and agents with impact.
- Strong team player with a positive champion for our books, team, brand, and division.
- Confident running self-service advertising campaigns across platforms.
- Significant experience of working with agencies, from media agencies to creative teams across different media.
- Competitive salary: £50,000 - £55,000 depending on how your skills and experience align to the role, plus bonus and benefits.
