The Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our Waste Water Recycling team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a diverse range of equipment and assets, contributing to the efficient operation of our vital wastewater treatment facilities.
Your Responsibilities
- Proactively maintain mechanical assets onsite, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Diagnose and repair a variety of equipment, including pumps, chemical dosing systems, gearboxes, high-pressure systems, gas systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, valves, motors, generators, drive belts, conveyors, and scrapers.
- Perform fabrication, lubrication, and welding activities as required.
- Continuously improve the mechanical asset base through proactive maintenance and repair strategies.
- Conduct lifting operations safely in accordance with LOLER regulations.
- Interpret and update mechanical drawings to ensure accurate documentation and understanding of systems.
- Support the design and build of new processes, contributing your technical expertise to enhance operational efficiency.
- Monitor treatment processes using SCADA systems and respond promptly to alarms.
- Proactively review the health and availability of assets on site, identifying potential issues and implementing preventative measures.
- Maintain up-to-date training in mechanical and maintenance practices to ensure compliance with industry standards.
