Job Opportunity: Teaching Assistant for Autistic Pupils

Empowering Learning is seeking a dedicated and experienced teaching assistant to work with a group of autistic pupils across KS1 and KS2.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide in-class support to children with autism, promoting their academic and social development.
  • Lead academic interventions with children working below age-expected levels, helping them to catch up and succeed.
  • Liaise with the school SENCO to monitor progress and develop strategies to support pupils with autism.
  • Work one-to-one with children out of class, providing individualized support and guidance.
Requirements:
  • At least one year's experience working with autistic children.
  • Previous experience working in a school environment.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with children and colleagues.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
