About Us
Burnage Academy for Boys is an outstanding, high-achieving Single Academy Trust where our pupils come first and thrive through our values of resilience, independence, and care. Established in 1932, with the Academy having formed in 2014, we have approximately 980 pupils on roll and our mission is to ensure boys become the best they can be.
The Role
We are seeking a new Director of Operations to lead the operational functions of our stand-alone academy trust. Reporting directly to the Headteacher/CEO, you will be responsible for the robust management of key non-academic operations including finance, HR, estates, health & safety, and compliance. This is a strategic leadership position that requires a flexible and innovative approach to supporting our educational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the operational functions of the academy trust
- Lead the finance, HR, estates, health & safety, and compliance teams
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff to achieve operational objectives
Requirements
- Senior leadership experience in a similar role
- Strong financial management skills
- Experience of managing HR, estates, health & safety, and compliance functions
- Ability to develop and implement strategic plans
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
