Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Sales Specialist to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for promoting our laboratory products and services to customers in the life sciences industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Knowledge and Sales
    • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of our laboratory products and services.
    • Utilize this knowledge to identify and qualify leads, initiate the sales process, and effectively promote our products and services to customers.
  • Customer Relationships
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, including research scientists, laboratory managers, and other key decision-makers.
    • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Business Development
    • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve sales targets and grow our customer base.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and product development, to identify new business opportunities and develop sales plans.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and management, both verbally and in writing.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of sales plans and customer projects.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in a life science-related field, such as biology, chemistry, or biochemistry.
    • Ph.D. in a life science-related field is a plus.
  • Experience
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in sales, marketing, or a related field, preferably in the life sciences industry.
    • Previous experience working in a laboratory setting is a plus.
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong product knowledge and sales skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet sales targets.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other sales-related software.
